CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

·      Studying something interesting in the water?

·      Using scientific diving in your research?

·      Want to do a “test” talk before the big conference?

Share your work, meet other researchers, gain experience, have a few laughs and a beer or two…

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS:
The Scientific Diver Symposium is held annually in Carteret County, NC and is open to all Scientific Divers, Scientists, and Educators who work in or around Carteret County and contribute to expanding knowledge of marine and estuarine environments. Symposium goals are: 1) to allow Scientific divers to meet and exchange information with other divers on methods, techniques, and research that requires the use of SCUBA as a tool, 2) to share knowledge of safer and more efficient diving and research methods, and 3) to educate non-diving scientists and educators about ways SCUBA and divers might enhance their success.

Submit your abstract for the afternoon session to ccsda.info@gmail.com by February 15, 2013.   The presentations should be 13 minutes in length in power point format and deal primarily with scientific diving techniques and methods used in conjunction with your work or research.  There are also a few slots for longer talks (up to 25 minutes).  Please indicate which time slot you are interested in when you submit your abstract.
